CAPPE’S GOT TALENT

This conference will host the first ever (as far as we know) coordinated event for CAPPE members to show off their talent to one another. All across Canada, the regions are putting together outrageous and awe-inspiring performing acts of music, dance, lip sync, stand up comedy, spoon playing and more!!! You won’t want to miss this live on stage gala event hosted by BC’s own not so famous comedy duo, Phil and Ray. Appetizers and a no-host bar will complete this evening of fun, frivolity, awe-inspiring wonder and perhaps even discovery.

If you want to be part of this event please contact:, by March 14:

Invitation to Participate in “CAPPE’s Got Talent”

Hello fellow CAPPE members and Spiritual Care/Counselling Colleagues.  We hope that you have marked your calendars to attend the CAPPE conference in Victoria in April 2008 with the theme:  "Return to the Garden - Cultivating Growth, Hope and Healing".

The planning committee in BC is feverishly working on a stimulating, educational and fun-filled time for you.  Speaking of fun, we've decided to host a "CAPPE's Got Talent" show on Thursday evening of the conference.  It is well known that we have a great deal of talent within our organization and we think it's time for us to show one another other just how gifted we are.

We are sending this to all CAPPE Regions so that you can begin planning your act or acts now, for performance at the conference.  Our hope is that you will bring at least one act from your region and that all provinces will be represented.  Your act can be music, dance, skit, lip sync, stand up comedy, acrobatics, spoon playing…you name it!  If you'd like to make your act theme related or culturally representative of your region, please do so but this is not a requirement.  We do expect that you will be well-rehearsed, in costume, and ready to have fun!  The time frame for each act should be no more than 10 minutes.

If you have questions or want to register your act, please contact Becky Vink, becky.vink@fraserhealth.ca or call 604-520-4251. In the meantime, dust off those dancin' shoes, sharpen up those vocal chords, polish those spoons and get practicing!  Only 5 months to go!

In anticipation,

Your CAPPE 08 BC Planning Committee
