General Information

Located in the heart of Banff National Park, Banff Park Lodge is the only 4 star Canada Select full-service resort hotel and conference centre.  A fabulous 211 room hotel within walking distance of everything the majestic town of Banff has to offer.

Just steps behind the Banff Park Lodge,located on the beautiful Bow River is our newly acquired Bow View Lodge. The Bow View offers 58 rooms, most with breath taking views of the Bow River.  The Bow River is a summertime favorite of fishermen and canoeists. The Bow View and Banff Park Lodge are just a two-minute stroll to the finest shopping, dining and entertainment any world-class resort has to offer.  Bow View guests have access to all the amenities of the Banff Park Lodge………..just a few short steps away.

For our winter enthusiasts, we make it easy.  Transportation from our front doors to 3 world class ski resorts around the Banff area.

Lake Louise, also located in historic Banff National Park, is one of the most photographed spots in the world. When you see it, you'll understand why. Everywhere you look, ski, hike, climb, canoe, walk or wander - is scenery that is absolutely stunning.

When flying to Banff, the Calgary International Airport (YYC) is the closest major airport.  There is an independent airport shuttle service that operates between the airport and the Banff Park Lodge. Most rental car companies are available at the airport or in Banff. The distance from Calgary is 130 kilometers (83 miles).  It takes approximately 90 minutes to get to Banff from the Calgary Airport.  Taxis are readily available from the hotel should you need one.

Conference & Banquets facilities:
Picture your next meeting in the Canadian Rockies - Banff Park Lodge is an ideal conference hotel, equipped to handle groups from 5 to 500.

We offer almost 19,000 square feet of meeting space (eighteen meeting rooms) with an additional trade show area.  Our property has the flexibility to offer our client’s large plenary sessions with rear screen projection to smaller breakout seminars, banquets, executive boardroom set-ups and hospitality suites.  All of our meeting rooms are equipped with High Speed Internet access.

Our audio/visual company can readily supply you with any of your audio visual needs.

Hotel Accommodation

Our 211 spacious guestrooms are tastefully decorated.  All our rooms include coffee makers, in-room safe, cable television with pay-per-view movies, clock radio, direct dial telephone with data-port and voice mail system, a table with two chairs, large dresser, ample closet space, hair dryer, iron & board, individual climate control and a private balcony or patio.

Hotel Recreation

With two fireplaces our newly renovated recreation centre is a MUST!  We have an indoor pool, hot tub, hot plunge bath, steam room with eucalyptus and brand new exercise equipment for your enjoyment!
 
The Banff Park Lodge is VERY proud to be the first independent hotel in Canada to receive the “Four Green Leaf” rating for our environmental programs.  We have also received the Alberta Housekeeping Award for six consecutive years.

Our Superior Rooms were all renovated in 2002. Each room has a spacious bathroom with full bath and double vanity. Choose one of the following styles to fit your needs:
               142 Superior Rooms with two queen-size beds.
               38 Superior Rooms with one king size bed and a sitting area with sofa bed.
12 Superior Rooms with one king size bed, jetted tub located on the four corners of the hotel. These rooms adjoin to either a Superior Room with two queen size beds or to a Parlour Suite.

Enjoy the luxury! Our 8 Deluxe Jacuzzi Rooms have a two-person Jacuzzi, one king size bed, convenience fridge, spacious bathroom with a two-person walk in shower and double vanity. Some of these rooms adjoin to either a Superior Room with two queen size beds or to a Parlour Suite.

Enjoy the comfort! Our 3 Executive Suites truly give you a feeling of comfort. These Suites have a separate bedroom with one king size bed, television and closet space. The living room has a sitting area, television and a convenience fridge. Each Suite has a granite-finished bathroom with jetted tub, body spray and double vanity. The Executive Suites were completely renovated in December 2001.

Enjoy the space! Our 6 Lodge Suites are double the size of our regular rooms and are great for families up to 6 people. These Suites have two queen size beds, sitting area with sofa bed, television, DVD player, convenience fridge and microwave. Each Suite has TWO granite-finished bathrooms; one with a two-person walk in shower and body spray, the  other bathroom with a jetted tub. The Lodge Suites were completely renovated in June 2002.

Enjoy the feeling! The 2 Parlour Suites will make you feel at home. These Suites have one king size bed, sitting area, television, VCR, gas fireplace, a bar with convenience fridge and microwave. Each Suite has a granite-finished bathroom with jetted tub, body spray and double vanity. Treat yourself to our Royal Suite, which consists of a Parlour Suite adjoining to a Deluxe Jacuzzi Room on one side and a Superior Room on the other side. The Royal Suites were completely renovated in the May 2003.

PARKING FEES

Indoor parking is designated for registered hotel guests.  A daily parking charge is not included in the guestroom rates and parking fees are subject to change.  The current (2009) Banff Park Lodge parking charges are $9.50 per day for self parking and $13.50 per day for valet parking, plus GST.

CHECK IN / CHECK OUT

All delegates must be advised our check-in time is 4:00 p.m.  We will do our utmost to assign rooms as they become available to any delegates arriving prior to that time.  Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.

Luggage may be stored at no cost with the Concierge should guests arrive prior to rooms being ready, or if meetings will continue after check-out time.  Requests to retain rooms after the check-out time should be directed to the Front Office Manager on the day of departure and are subject to a late departure charge.

HIGH SPEED WIRELESS INTERNET  FEES

The Banff Park Lodge is please to offer our guests high speed wireless internet, with access throughout the hotel for a fee of $10.00 per person, per 24 hours plus 5% GST.
