Awards of Excellence - Research
Nomination Form
Deadline for Nominations is December 1 st.
Purpose of the Awards: To raise the professional competency and profile of spiritual care and counselling and to nurture a “research culture” within CASC/ACSS.
Criteria for Awards:
- The existing criteria for the other Awards of Excellence will apply.
- There will be two awards - one for an individual and one for a team which may be an inter-professional team. In both cases, a certified member of CASC/ACSS must be named on the nomination form.
- A monetary award of $1000 will be given to the individual award winner; a plaque or certificate will be given to the team winner.
- The purpose of the monetary award is to provide assistance to the winner to raise awareness and/or to assist the member to disseminate their work through conferences and publication.
- The research must be in one of the fields of spiritual care, counselling or education.
- The PPC will obtain expert assistance, when necessary, to judge the nominations.
- A copy of the research should accompany the nomination form.
- The nomination form and accompanying materials should be sent to the person named as either Vice Chair or Past Chair of the Professional Practice Commission. This person’s name and e-mail address can be found on the Contacts page under Professional Practice Commission.
