Awards of Excellence - Research

Nomination Form

Deadline for Nominations is December 1 st.
Purpose of the Awards: To raise the professional competency and profile of spiritual care and counselling and to nurture a “research culture” within CASC/ACSS.
Criteria for Awards:

  1. The existing criteria for the other Awards of Excellence will apply.
  2. There will be two awards - one for an individual and one for a team which may be an inter-professional team. In both cases, a certified member of CASC/ACSS must be named on the nomination form.
  3. A monetary award of $1000 will be given to the individual award winner; a plaque or certificate will be given to the team winner.
  4. The purpose of the monetary award is to provide assistance to the winner to raise awareness and/or to assist the member to disseminate their work through conferences and publication.
  5. The research must be in one of the fields of spiritual care, counselling or education.
  6. The PPC will obtain expert assistance, when necessary, to judge the nominations.
  7. A copy of the research should accompany the nomination form.
  8. The nomination form and accompanying materials should be sent to the person named as either Vice Chair or Past Chair of the Professional Practice Commission. This person’s name and e-mail address can be found on the Contacts page under Professional Practice Commission.
