The CAPPE Verda Rochon Distinguished Service Award |
CAPPE/ACPEP consistently promotes high standards of professionalism and service in the field of Pastoral Care and Counselling and Education. Some members go beyond these high standards and this award is a means of acknowledging a member of the association who has made a significant contribution to the profession and to the Association. The award will not be made to any current member of the Board.
Selection Procedure
Nominations must:
- be made in writing by three members in good standing in the Association,
- must include biographical information, letters of recommendation, and reasons for the nomination.
- be forwarded to the CAPPE Board who will make a final decision.
- be received by December 31.
Criteria for Award
- CAPPE member in good standing.
- Personal and professional integrity.
- Significant contribution to one or more of the following: Pastoral Care, Pastoral Counselling, Pastoral Education
- Contribution to and a history of leadership within CAPPE/ACPEP
- Commitment to and demonstrated leadership in the area of ecumenical or interfaith understanding
