The CAPPE/ACPEP Verda Rochon Distinguished Service Award

 


CAPPE/ACPEP consistently promotes high standards of professionalism and service in the field of Pastoral Care and Counselling and Education. Some members go beyond these high standards and this award is a means of acknowledging a member of the association who has made a significant contribution to the profession and to the Association. The award will not be made to any current member of the Board.

Selection Procedure

Nominations must:

  • be made in writing by three members in good standing in the Association,
  • must include biographical information, letters of recommendation, and reasons for the nomination.
  • be forwarded to the CAPPE Board who will make a final decision.
  • be received by December 31.

Criteria for Award

  • CAPPE member in good standing.
  • Personal and professional integrity.
  • Significant contribution to one or more of the following: Pastoral Care, Pastoral Counselling, Pastoral Education
  • Contribution to and a history of leadership within CAPPE/ACPEP
  • Commitment to and demonstrated leadership in the area of ecumenical or interfaith understanding
