C.A.P.P.E. Ontario Central Region AGM 2006

Historic Fort York
In October 2006 C.A.P.P.E. Ontario Central Region met in historic Fort York for their annual General Meeting. This was very serendipitous because a historic motion authorized the Professional Practice Representative from OCR to work with the other Ontario Region Reps in a unified body towards association status and future plans for a College of Chaplains in Ontario .

Bob Bond networking with members
Rev. Bob Bond walked the meeting through a number of historic motions and also updated members of what has been happening. C.A.P.P.E. members had taken part in a letter writing campaign to influence upcoming legislation regarding psycho-therapy and the Registered Health Professional Act in Ontario .Rather than chaplains again being exempted, we have asked to be regulated along with a wide assortment of counsellors and therapists.

Encounter World Religions provided an excellent workshop taking participants through a whirlwind tour of the major faith groups and their commonalities. After a brief closing ritual participants were on their way.

The location was spacious and bright
