Approval Received for 2010 - 2011 CPE Programs in Alberta

The Teaching Supervisors in Alberta have received a “go ahead” to run our CPE programs for the 2010 to 2011 year. This is good news, and we celebrate our continuance with much joy! There will be one multi-site CPE program in CALGARY that includes placement possibilities in Rockyview General Hospital, Peter Lougheed Centre, Foothills Medical Centre, and Alberta Children’s Hospital. There will be three site-based CPE programs in EDMONTON – at Alberta Hospital Edmonton, the Royal Alexandra Hospitals, and the University of Alberta Hospital-Stollery Children’s Hospital-and-Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute. These three programs will be collaborating in the selection of students. Placements will be at all three sites. If you have already applied to one or several Alberta CPE Centres, you will be hearing from those centres directly. If you wish to make application to one or several of the Alberta RESIDENCY or INTERNSHIP programs, please note Contact Persons and Information for each centre listed below.
