Capital Health District

Capital Health District is the largest integrated academic health district in Atlantic Canada. The people of Capital Health work with individuals and communities to improve health. Capital Health provides core health services to 395,000 residents, or 40 per cent of the population of Nova Scotia and tertiary and quaternary acute care services to residents of Atlantic Canada. A significant portion of the population of Capital Health live in Halifax and Dartmouth, twin cities on the edge of an ancient ocean.

STIPENDS:
Stipends of $15,435 each are available to qualified students in this program.

ADMISSION CRITERIA:
Applicants must have completed one unit of CPE at the basic level, provide evidence of a baccalaureate degree and have completed first year of a theological degree at the Master's level (or equivalent). A screening and selection process will be employed to determine four successful candidates.

TUITION:
$1100 per unit of CPE payable at the beginning of each unit (3 units in program).
Bursaries of up to $1500. are available for qualified applicants.

DATES:
The Residency Program will run from September 2008 to May 2009.
