Background

For Group Work, search engines Novanet, EBSCO, Orbis, Amazon, Google Scholar, and WorldCat were consulted.  Keyword searches in these databases included: groups, group work, group process, group theory. Some variants of these were also used, and subject, keyword, and recommendations linked by these databases were followed when relevant. An overwhelming quantity of material  turned up, along with a rich web of linked resources, making discrimination difficult. Book descriptions and review material were gathered from search engines and various publisher’s sites. EBSCO databases, including CINAHL, ERIC, and PsycInfo were consulted for review material. With this information the list was narrowed significantly and reviews were written. Gary Myatt also recommended some titles.
